Clinical: This position will be a shared position with the Department of Orthopaedics and the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and will be based within the Department of Orthopaedics.
This position will help to provide non-surgical clinics for Orthopaedics to help diagnose and treat injuries or illnesses for nerve, muscle or bone injuries. They will help patients to assess condition, needs and expectations and rule out any serious medical illness to develop a treatment plan to meet their rehabilitation needs. Services provided in conjunction with APOM will include clinical evaluation and management of pain patients in the Comprehensive Pain Center utilizing psychological approaches, physical therapy, drug therapy, and interventional modalities. Care provided in the Comprehensive Pain Center (CPC) must be done in compliance with established guidelines of the CPC and in collaboration with APOM providers.
This position will work with the Department Clinical Medical Director to determine a clinical schedule that will help meet the needs of the Department and patient population. This position will also be expected to take call, as assigned, with other faculty on nights, weekends, and holidays.

The Department of Psychiatry at Oregon Health & Science University is seeking to make an open-rank faculty hire during the next academic year, as part of our growing scientific efforts in the Center for Mental Health Innovation (CMHI). The mission of the CMHI is to advance scientific discoveries in mental health and rapidly translate those into real-world practices, thereby propelling the transformation of mental health care and improving lives. The CMHI is well-endowed and engages exceptional scientists in multiple areas of developmental psychopathology research, including developmental origins of mental health (maternal and infant), child and adolescent behavioral risk, ADHD, depression/suicide risk, and substance use, as well as using multiple methodologies including genetics, epigenetics, neuroimaging, neuropsychology and cognitive computational methods, and advanced analytics for prediction science. The Institute on Development & Disability (IDD), Division of Pediatric Psychology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) in Portland, OR is seeking applicants for a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty member in the area ofAutism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).This is an Advanced Assistant toAssociateProfessor level position that will support the ASD Program at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital which is Oregon’s top-ranked children’s hospital and part of the region’s only academic medical center.The Autism Program incorporates service, scholarship, and teaching consistent with the mixed mission of OHSU. The program provides over 500 multidisciplinary assessments annually for individuals referred with a question of autism spectrum disorder, in addition to treatment and consultation services. As a referral center for the entire region, the clinic population is diverse, with about 20% of families being of non-white race, about 20% being of Latino ethnicity, and a large majority using public insurance.
The right candidate will offer leadership of the ASD Program. Medical Director, Adult Ambulatory Anesthesia (0.1 FTE)
The Medical Director, Adult Ambulatory Anesthesia will lead the Department’s efforts in providing outstanding care, creating a supportive educational environment for our learners and staff, and supporting research and scholarship for inpatients. The Director will work closely with nursing, surgeons, and other hospital leaders. There will also be close cooperation with other medical directors in the Department of Anesthesiology & Perioperative Medicine whose responsibilities include ambulatory patients, such as the directors of regional anesthesia and non-OR anesthesia.

A portion of a work day is provided for administration and scholarly activities. The expected work week for this position will be flexible with rotating Saturdays and some of the weekday hours would be in the evening.

The faculty member will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business point of view.

The faculty member will be expected to participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development and scholarship as directed by his/her department. Previous work experience in primary care and urgent care is required.
The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. The appointee shall be a Clinical or translational physician investigator, with the intellectual vision to develop and expand lung research at the Knight. They will be given immediate access to funds and will be tasked with marrying the Knight’s appetite for innovation with a vision that expand OHSU’s lung cancer footprint, relevance in the market and impact to patients. This position reports to (supervisor): Division Head, Hematology & Medical Oncology.
The duties of this position include:
- Oversee clinical and research expansion within the service line
- Work closely with leadership to identify and build collaborations across the Knight, marrying the existing strengths in research with a vision that builds the lung cancer service line to prominence in clinical care and research impact.
- Direct the development of a comprehensive lung program at the Knight Cancer Institute
- Establish an innovative research portfolio
- Coordinate with institutional leaders to advance clinical growth
- Build collaborations that advance the treatment of lung cancer
- Dedicate 50% of time to building clinical research
The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine and include: participate in the education of medical students and house staff in accordance with assignments to the department by the Curriculum Committee and Chair; care of patients with lung cancer; establish and maintain a program of scholarly activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection and treatment of lung cancer; carry out basic research in division research space assigned by the Division Head; participate in administrative committees and councils of the OHSU as approved by the Chair and Division Head; engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with knowledge and consent of the Chair and Division Head.
It is anticipated the position will be made up of the following components: Clinical, teaching research/academic, and inpatient service.
