Department Overview

The Department of Dermatology at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is seeking a board-eligible or board-certified dermatologist with a strong interest in melanoma and skin cancer to join our faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a new graduate or early career physician passionate about academic medicine, patient care, and research to collaborate with Dr. Elizabeth Berry, Dr. Noah Hornick, Dr. Raj Kulkarni and Dr. Wesley Yu and a dynamic, multidisciplinary team dedicated to advancing the field of cutaneous oncology. Function/Duties of Position

Position Highlights:

  • Clinical Focus: Provide specialized care for patients with melanoma and other skin cancers, working within OHSU’s nationally recognized multidisciplinary melanoma program and the Knight Cancer Institute
  • Academic Environment: Engage in clinical education by mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows, fostering the next generation of dermatologists.
  • Research Opportunities: Collaborate on translational and clinical research initiatives, with access to OHSU’s extensive resources in melanoma and skin cancer research and the Knight Cancer Institute.
  • Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with dermatopathologists, oncologists, surgeons, radiation oncologists, and basic scientists to advance innovative treatments and approaches to skin cancer care.

Required Qualifications

  • M.D. or D.O. degree with completion of an accredited dermatology residency program
  • Board-certified or board-eligible in dermatology
  • Strong interest in academic dermatology, melanoma, and skin cancer
  • Commitment to excellence in clinical care, education, and research
  • Interest in developing an independent clinical research portfolio (preferred but not required)

Additional Details

Depending on the qualifications of the person selected, the position may be filled as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Salary shall be commensurate with rank. Clinical and academic bonuses are available based upon productivity.
