The advanced practice provider (APP) provides patient care in a multidisciplinary team model in the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU). The Medical Intensive Care Unit treats a wide range of medically critically ill patients. Care in the MICU follows evidence-based guidelines and clinical pathways developed by the multidisciplinary team. Appointment times for intakes and consultations are 60-90 minutes, 30 minutes for medication management and 60-minute slots available for combined psychotherapy and medication management.
