The duties of this position are in support of the missions and objectives of OHSU, the School of Medicine, and the Division of Surgical Oncology.

- The Department Chair and clinical director will work with you to develop your clinical and operative schedule. Your duties will include inpatient, outpatient and surgical service activities for general orthopedic surgical services at Adventist Health Portland, with a specialty focus in your area of interest as agreed with the Department Chair. Call: This position will be expected to take call, as assigned, with other surgeons on nights, weekends, and holidays. - Administration. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on Department needs and areas of expertise and interest. There will be opportunities to participate in Departmental, Hospital and Clinical management and to serve on institutional committees. - Education. Since OHSU is a teaching facility, there are optional opportunities for teaching medical students, residents, or fellows in the clinical setting. There are also opportunities to participate in the didactic curriculum if desired. Teaching assignments will be given from the Director of Education. - Research. As desired there are opportunities to participate in Departmental Clinical Research trials.

The Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellow will be responsible for the following: - Precepting or urgent care in the Faculty Practice 4 half days/week, with at least one and likely two evening clinics. - Participate in clinical based teaching. - Potential to attend on the general medicine wards. - On average 3 days per week of ultrasound educational activities and practice in varying clinical settings. - Attend weekly image review & planning sessions with the program faculty. - Create, participate in, or complete at least 1 IRB approved research project. - Contribute to ultrasound teaching events for students and residents.

Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research): - Plans and supervises student lab and/or clinical experiences or practice based on teaching assignment. Scholarly Activities (research/writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.): - Participates in scholarly activities based on faculty rank. - At the Assistant Professor rank or higher, faculty in the practice mission, demonstrates competence in an area of clinical expertise and engages in inquiry and scholarship that contributes to the practice of clinical practice. - At the Assistant Professor rank or higher, faculty in the research mission advance a program of research, prepares grants and seeks funding, and engages with other missions to foster inquiry within the SON. As a vital member of our department, the successful candidate will contribute to both inpatient and outpatient services within the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) and epilepsy clinic.   OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is the only pediatrics teaching hospital in the state of Oregon with a full complement of sub-specialists as well as active residency and fellowship training programs. The Division of Pediatric Neurology is committed to providing comprehensive neurological care to children throughout Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. This includes calibration of all radiation producing sources and maintenance of all information for their appropriate use. - Maintains a comprehensive quality assurance program that ensures patients are provided tumor localization, radiation treatment, and dose distributions as prescribed. This includes assurance of the accuracy of treatment unit parameters. - In collaboration with team, responsible for the development of treatment plans, acquisition and storage of data for treatment plans, calculation of dose distributions and machine settings for treatment delivery. Provides consultation to the Radiation Oncologist, and translates the desired treatment plan into a set of instructions for radiation therapists to execute. - Participates and becomes competent in the physics support for Brachytherapy. - Ensures that all local and national regulations and accreditation requirements as relating to medical physics are met and maintained. Serves as the radiation safety officer (designee) for the facility or as a member of the institution's Radiation Safety Committee. - Provides technical oversight of personnel (including, but not limited to, radiation therapists, medical dosimetrists, and service engineers). - Serve as a clinical General cardiologist. Duties include outpatient clinic, inpatient cardiology and cardiology consult services. Additional duties will include in imaging and echocardiography. Other areas of clinical duties may be available depending on need and interest of applicant.  Fair share of call coverage is expected. - Participate in educational/proctoring and clinical activities at OHSU in  conjunction with clinical need and research interests.  

- Provision of direct care for youth (birth-21 years) and their families; emphasis will be on psychological/neuropsychological care through the CCF Clinic and CDRC, with opportunities to include therapeutic supports and interventions. - Assist with program development and quality improvement activities within the multidisciplinary CCF and CDRC clinics - Other duties include service on various IDD/Pediatrics/OHSU committees as appropriate; engagement in community service through teaching and consultation activities; and conducting clinical research - Supervising psychology graduate students, predoctoral interns, and/or postdoctoral fellows - Other duties as determined by the Division Head of Pediatric Psychology and the Director of the IDD to meet the needs of the Division of Pediatric Psychology and the Institute.
