Located in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, OHSU Doernbecher Children’s Hospital is offering an opportunity for a Palliative Care specialist at one of the nation’s top ranked Children’s Hospitals as reported by U.S. News & World Report.    The Division of Pediatric Palliative Care seeks a faculty member at the assistant professor level to fill one of the following roles:  1) physician to provide pediatric palliative care at a total a total of 0.5 FTE, or 2) a physician to provide 0.5 FTE of pediatric palliative care plus 0.1 to 0.5 FTE of other clinical care in general pediatrics or the successful candidate’s field of specialty. The duties of this position include: providing pediatric palliative care for infant, child, and adolescent patients and their families at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, in both inpatient and outpatient contexts; participation in a broad range pediatric palliative care educational and clinical programming outside of direct patient care; education of learners at all levels and disciplines.   This can either be a half-time position limited to pediatric palliative care, or an up to full-time position with the other 0.1-0.5 FTE coming from General Pediatrics or a relevant pediatric subspecialty in which the candidate is board eligible.    This faculty member will provide direct patient care and consultations with physicians at other regional medical centers. Pediatric faculty members at OHSU also provide clinical teaching and supervision of pediatric residents, medical students, and other trainees. This position will educate both in the clinical environment and through conferences, seminars, and interdepartmental activities. There also are many opportunities for scholarly activity and research. Candidates with a strong interest in academic pursuits are encouraged to apply.   The Bridges Pediatric Palliative Care team is a long-standing and well-integrated component of the outstanding clinical care provided at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. Composed of four physicians (at varying levels of effort), a nurse practitioner, a nurse coordinator, social worker, chaplain, and art therapist, the Bridges team is the only interprofessional pediatric palliative care team in the state of Oregon. As such, in addition to a robust inpatient presence, we either manage or co-manage a high percentage of pediatric hospice patients throughout the state, partnering with local hospice agencies to empower them to care for children as well as adults. We are active throughout the hospital as well as for outpatients receiving palliative care, including core integration into the fetal therapy program (which now includes fetal surgery).   In terms of education and training, our pediatric palliative care fellow is part of an interprofessional fellowship program along with two adult palliative care physician fellows, as well as fellows in social work, spiritual care, and psychology. We are also fortunate to have every pediatric intern rotate with us, as well as fellows from pediatric oncology, PICU, NICU, and adult palliative care, as well as nurse practitioner and social work fellows.

We're seeking a Clinician Educator to join our team!  This position will include both a continuity ambulatory practice and coverage clinic. The Clinical Site Director works collaboratively with the Advanced Education Program Director in Endodontics, the Division Head, and the Offices of Academic and Clinical Systems to provide endodontic clinical experiences for Advanced Education students during the 24-month advanced training curriculum.   The Clinical Site Director is responsible for the implementation of the clinical curriculum, and the provision of strategic and day-to-day operations and oversight of the Graduate Endodontic Clinic. In the role of faculty, the member will participate in the academic and clinical education of dental students and advanced education students, specific and general scholarly activity, research and service.    This position reports to (supervisor): Interim Division Head, Endodontology; Karan J. Clinical Responsibilities: - Working as a generalist in the areas of Diabetes. You will be expected to perform a total of 2-3 ambulatory clinic sessions per week; You will also be expected to attend on the inpatient endocrine consult service 2-4 weeks per year and take your fair share of night and weekend call, as assigned, with other faculty on nights, weekends, and holidays through the shared coverage of OHSU's consult line. Research Responsibilities: - The position will have protected time to assume current research grant projects, continue research that  have been transferred and secure grant funding. Educational Responsibilities: - OHSU is a teaching facility and you will be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting, as part of your Clinical duties above, as well as through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year. You may receive teaching assignments from the Division Head, Department or School of Medicine. 

The ACNP/PA will interface closely with the outpatient nursing and medical assistant team in a clinical and teaching capacity.

Clinical: Majority of your time will be spent clinically in Preventive Cardiology. The general clinical duties will include ambulatory clinics, approximately 6 weeks (generally 2 weeks each rotation) serving as an attending physician on the inpatient cardiology services (CCU or consult), as well as supporting non-invasive imaging, including ECHO, CT and MRI imaging, with a focus on patients with non-invasive subclinical atherosclerosis. Serving as an attending in our outreach programs may also be required depending on availability and the divisional needs. Providers are also expected to take a fair share of call.   Research: We expect providers in this role will be involved in clinical studies in collaboration with colleagues in the section, and will work to develop a portfolio of clinical research activities funded from external sources. Additional non-clinical time will be provided commensurate with funding to support that effort.   Education: As teaching is an important portion of the cardiology mission you will be responsible for the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

Provide patient care and services in an outpatient ambulatory mental health setting. Work with culturally specific counselors to meet patient needs.   This position will perform other duties as assigned by IPP Medical Director.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, within the Department of Pediatrics of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), is seeking an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Pediatrics specializing in the treatment of hematologic malignancies.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of post-fellowship experience in the care of complex hematologic malignancies; clinical experience in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy as well is strongly preferred.  The position will assume clinical care of children, adolescent and young adults with hematologic malignancies and administrative/leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Division Head; participate in fellow training and student/resident educational programs of the Department; serve on committees and councils of OHSU; participate in outreach and public service programs and professional societies with the knowledge and consent of the Chair; conduct collaborative clinical, translational, and/or health systems research at OHSU, and fund these efforts as necessary through grants and contracts.

As a member of the Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases, in the Department of Medicine you will report to the Division Head, Clinical Director, and Division Manager; and will be expected to contribute in each of the following areas:   1. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on divisional needs and your areas of expertise and interest, including opportunities to participate in and to serve on institutional committees.   2. Clinical care will be your primary assignment and will include: - Direct patient care in Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases outpatient clinics (may include a combination of digital and face-to-face clinics at Marquam Hill-Physicians Pavilion, Beaverton Clinic, Orenco Station (Hillsboro, OR) and/or other OHSU outpatient locations) with a minimum of six (6) clinics per week. - Adult rheumatology inpatient consult service for 2-3 months per year. Includes OHSU-only consult weeks (Monday-Fridays) and combined OHSU and VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) weekend coverage. - Potential assignment of eConsults and other direct and indirect patient care divisional needs assigned by the Division Head and/or Clinical Director, should the need arise.   3. This position participates in the divisions teaching activities, including divisional conferences, student and fellow didactics and on OHSU committees as expected and approved by the Division and Department, including undergraduate medical education programs and School of Medicine graduate programs.   4. There are resources available for start-up research and on-going support via established processes and opportunities. Providing optometric eye care services and staffing support to General Ophthalmology and the Contact Lens Service at the Casey Eye Hood River and The Dalles satellite clinics. General Ophthalmology duties include support of general adult eye clinic.    Professional education: assist with professional education events and courses presented by ophthalmologists, optometrists and other allied health professionals.   Administrative tasks: complete required documentation such as care report forms; maintain patient records.

- Examine and assess patient's condition to best determine acupuncture treatment for their condition.  Performs and documents initial health history; performs and documents all sessions performed according to established guidelines; practice appropriate acupuncture techniques; communicates and explains procedures appropriate to client need and preferences. - Must maintain a general knowledge of acunpunture coding requirements.  Complete notes and maintain accurate documentation of treatment after each visit.  Maintain HIPPA compliance. - Present lectures on current literature regarding therapeutic benefits of acupuncture benefits and pain management to CPC staff and clininal providers.   - Develops educational material for CPC staff and patients. - Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
