The Predoctoral Program Director Endodontology is a full-time faculty member in the Department of Endodontology with all rights and responsibilities of School of Dentistry faculty. This faculty appointee provides services in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service. Specifically, the primary focus of the Predoctoral Program Director is to provide academic leadership, management, and oversight for the Predoctoral endodontic academic curriculum in collaboration with the Office of Academic Systems.  The Program Director works collaboratively with the Division Head, the Predoctoral Clinical Site Director, and the Offices of Academic and Clinical Systems to provide endodontic academic and clinical experiences for Predoctoral Dental Students as they gain competence appropriate for a beginning dental practitioner.  The Program Director is responsible for the design and implementation of the academic endodontic curriculum under the direction of the Office of Academic Systems. The Program Director engages in program and process improvement and ensures compliance to the policies and procedures of the School of Dentistry (SOD), Commission of Dental Accreditation (CODA), and the Northwest Commission of Colleges and University (NWCCU). The Clinical Site Director works collaboratively with the Advanced Education Program Director in Endodontics, the Division Head, and the Offices of Academic and Clinical Systems to provide endodontic clinical experiences for Advanced Education students during the 24-month advanced training curriculum.   The Clinical Site Director is responsible for the implementation of the clinical curriculum, and the provision of strategic and day-to-day operations and oversight of the Graduate Endodontic Clinic. In the role of faculty, the member will participate in the academic and clinical education of dental students and advanced education students, specific and general scholarly activity, research and service.    This position reports to (supervisor): Interim Division Head, Endodontology; Karan J. Replogle, Acting Chair Endodontology   Position Duties: - Distribution and coordination of cases with consideration to educational value and appropriate patient care amongst advanced education students  - Collaboration with Patient Support Services in the growth and management of the clinic referral base - Coordination and scheduling of clinic coverage to include faculty vacations and absences in collaboration with the Program Director/Division Head - Inventory maintainence of supplies and instruments - Develop and monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure effectiveness and efficiency - Ensure compliance with clinical policies and procedures of the SOD - Improve clinic flow, organization, utilization and productivity - Introduce new technologies and techniques

Clinical Responsibilities: - Working as a generalist in the areas of Diabetes. You will be expected to perform a total of 2-3 ambulatory clinic sessions per week; You will also be expected to attend on the inpatient endocrine consult service 2-4 weeks per year and take your fair share of night and weekend call, as assigned, with other faculty on nights, weekends, and holidays through the shared coverage of OHSU's consult line. Research Responsibilities: - The position will have protected time to assume current research grant projects, continue research that  have been transferred and secure grant funding. Educational Responsibilities: - OHSU is a teaching facility and you will be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting, as part of your Clinical duties above, as well as through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year. You may receive teaching assignments from the Division Head, Department or School of Medicine. 

The ACNP/PA will interface closely with the outpatient nursing and medical assistant team in a clinical and teaching capacity.

Clinical: Majority of your time will be spent clinically in Preventive Cardiology. The general clinical duties will include ambulatory clinics, approximately 6 weeks (generally 2 weeks each rotation) serving as an attending physician on the inpatient cardiology services (CCU or consult), as well as supporting non-invasive imaging, including ECHO, CT and MRI imaging, with a focus on patients with non-invasive subclinical atherosclerosis. Serving as an attending in our outreach programs may also be required depending on availability and the divisional needs. Providers are also expected to take a fair share of call.   Research: We expect providers in this role will be involved in clinical studies in collaboration with colleagues in the section, and will work to develop a portfolio of clinical research activities funded from external sources. Additional non-clinical time will be provided commensurate with funding to support that effort.   Education: As teaching is an important portion of the cardiology mission you will be responsible for the teaching of medical students, residents and fellows.

Provide patient care and services in an outpatient ambulatory mental health setting. Work with culturally specific counselors to meet patient needs.   This position will perform other duties as assigned by IPP Medical Director.

The Division of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology, within the Department of Pediatrics of Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), is seeking an Assistant Professor or Associate Professor of Pediatrics specializing in the treatment of hematologic malignancies.  The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years of post-fellowship experience in the care of complex hematologic malignancies; clinical experience in stem cell transplant and cellular therapy as well is strongly preferred.  The position will assume clinical care of children, adolescent and young adults with hematologic malignancies and administrative/leadership responsibilities as assigned by the Division Head; participate in fellow training and student/resident educational programs of the Department; serve on committees and councils of OHSU; participate in outreach and public service programs and professional societies with the knowledge and consent of the Chair; conduct collaborative clinical, translational, and/or health systems research at OHSU, and fund these efforts as necessary through grants and contracts.

As a member of the Division of Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases, in the Department of Medicine you will report to the Division Head, Clinical Director, and Division Manager; and will be expected to contribute in each of the following areas:   1. Administrative and other duties may be assigned based on divisional needs and your areas of expertise and interest, including opportunities to participate in and to serve on institutional committees.   2. Clinical care will be your primary assignment and will include: - Direct patient care in Arthritis and Rheumatic Diseases outpatient clinics (may include a combination of digital and face-to-face clinics at Marquam Hill-Physicians Pavilion, Beaverton Clinic, Orenco Station (Hillsboro, OR) and/or other OHSU outpatient locations) with a minimum of six (6) clinics per week. - Adult rheumatology inpatient consult service for 2-3 months per year. Includes OHSU-only consult weeks (Monday-Fridays) and combined OHSU and VA Portland Health Care System (VAPORHCS) weekend coverage. - Potential assignment of eConsults and other direct and indirect patient care divisional needs assigned by the Division Head and/or Clinical Director, should the need arise.   3. This position participates in the divisions teaching activities, including divisional conferences, student and fellow didactics and on OHSU committees as expected and approved by the Division and Department, including undergraduate medical education programs and School of Medicine graduate programs.   4. There are resources available for start-up research and on-going support via established processes and opportunities. Providing optometric eye care services and staffing support to General Ophthalmology and the Contact Lens Service at the Casey Eye Hood River and The Dalles satellite clinics. General Ophthalmology duties include support of general adult eye clinic.    Professional education: assist with professional education events and courses presented by ophthalmologists, optometrists and other allied health professionals.   Administrative tasks: complete required documentation such as care report forms; maintain patient records.

Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research): Assure the safe, efficient, high-quality quality and patient-centered management of care to patients with vascular disease, including but not limited to completing a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s status; developing, monitoring, and revising, as appropriate, an evidence-based treatment plan that addresses diagnoses, patterns of disease, risk factors, and treatment alternatives; treat many common acute and chronic health problems; interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe and manage medications and other therapies, provide health teaching with an emphasis on prevention of illness and health maintenance; and, refer patients to other healthcare professionals as necessary.   - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to diagnose and treat vascular surgery patients primarily in an inpatient environment. - Perform comprehensive histories and physical exams, identifying normal and abnormal findings, including physical, cognitive, and psychosocial status. - Write accurate and timely progress notes, procedure notes, and admission and transfer orders. - Order, perform, and interpret screening and diagnostic procedures and tests, and effectively communicate and document information. - Perform procedures beyond core duties as identified by the vascular surgery services, such as wound and drain management. - Facilitate communication among patients, families, and staff to promote continuity of care across the healthcare continuum. - Evaluate quality outcomes for patients receiving care from this team by participating in the development of quality indicators and outcomes dashboard. - Stay informed about current developments and trends in vascular surgery educational programs, in-services, professional associations, and current literature. - Develop expertise in coordinating and delivering care to patients on the vascular surgery service. - Collaborate with cross-department specialty care teams and primary care providers in providing consultative care for patients with vascular surgery needs. Scholarly Activities (improvement science, research, writing, abstracts, grant supported work, presentations, etc.): - Keep abreast of changes in field and applies knowledge to identify and recommend enhancements to clinical quality, patient experience/satisfaction, length of stay and to achieve improvement that demonstrates a higher standard of care. May serve as the faculty of record and principle contact for PA/NP students and evaluate the student’s performance. - Deliver individual instruction to fellows, residents, and other clinical learners to support their personal program of learning in the applicable specialty area. Provide instruction and review of the practices, policies, and procedures in a variety of functions; including but not limited to development of treatment plans, interpretation of clinical diagnostic data; developing orders; patient and family communication and education; management of medical equipment, electronic medical records; performing procedures, and transitioning patients to the next level of care. - Examine and assess patient's condition to best determine acupuncture treatment for their condition.  Performs and documents initial health history; performs and documents all sessions performed according to established guidelines; practice appropriate acupuncture techniques; communicates and explains procedures appropriate to client need and preferences. - Must maintain a general knowledge of acunpunture coding requirements.  Complete notes and maintain accurate documentation of treatment after each visit.  Maintain HIPPA compliance. - Present lectures on current literature regarding therapeutic benefits of acupuncture benefits and pain management to CPC staff and clininal providers.   - Develops educational material for CPC staff and patients. - Other duties as assigned by the Medical Director.
