This position will be assigned to the Clinical Pathology Division, with principal responsibilities in Hematopathology. Clinical responsibilities include diagnosis of a diverse array of adult and pediatric bone marrow and tissue cases (lymph node, spleen etc) with sharing evening and weekend hematopathology call on an equal basis. Interpreting molecular hematopathology testing is optional. The candidate is also expected to participate in clinical teaching and research activities. Build and maintain an outpatient continuity clinic (combination of in-person and telehealth visits). Appointment times for intakes and consultations are 60-90 minutes, 30 minutes for medication management and 60-minute slots available for combined psychotherapy and medication management. Providers have the flexibility to follow-up with patients as frequently as appropriate to provide the best quality of care.
Outpatient psychiatric consultations are encouraged at 0.1FTE (2 consults per week).
Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients of all ages in a rural critical access setting. Evaluate, stabilize, and manage acute and emergent conditions, including trauma, medical, surgical, and behavioral health cases. Work collaboratively with nursing staff, consultants, and hospital leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care. Participate in quality improvement, documentation, and patient safety initiatives, and support resident education during OHSU Emergency Medicine rotations.
Responsibilities include the full range of body IR diagnostic and interventional procedures with special focus on peripheral arterial disease; outpatient clinical practice; care of IR inpatients; call coverage of the Body interventional service in rotation with the other Body faculty; and participation in Institute educational endeavors and quality programs.
