This position serves as a Board-Certified Laryngology Surgeon within the Department. It is an expectation that the faculty member participates in clinical and surgical activities and takes a fair share of call on nights, weekends, and holidays.
OHSU is a teaching facility, and this faculty member will be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting, as well as through assigned lectures throughout the year. The Director of Education will issue teaching assignments.
This position will treat patients referred to otolaryngology for head and neck cancer. This position will provide surgical microvascular care to patients being treated by the head and neck team in need of complex reconstruction. This position will also see endocrine cancer patients and other head and neck sarcoma’s. This position may provide approved services at HMC. This is a full time transplant psychiatry position with primary function of supporting the efforts of solid organ transplant (heart, liver and kidney) and VAD implants.
The OHSU solid organ transplant groups (heart, liver and kidney) are separate but share many common work-flows, frequently have overlap (eg., patients with one failing organ may have another and need to be considered for dual organ transplant), and have unique needs in evaluation for solid organ transplant listing.
