- Work collaboratively with full and part time faculty to maintain an active practice. - Provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. - The faculty member will be expected to have a strong commitment to developing the practice into a vibrant clinical and academic operation, which is successful from both a professional and business point of view. - Participate in continuing education, professional and faculty development and scholarship. Previous work experience in primary care is required. - Directly see patients in their clinic eight half days per week and have two half day’s available for administrative duties/scholarship duties.  Expectations for number of patients seen per half day will be commensurate with that of other faculty and with a target numbers of 7-10 visits per half day depending on complexity of the patient population. - Document using the electronic health record and maintain complete and timely patient care documentation consistent with OHSU and Family Medicine policies and procedures. - Be available for teaching activities including but not limited to resident precepting, student precepting, didactics and more. - By mutual agreement between the Department and the physician, this position may include Inpatient Care (at HMC and/or OHSU) with call duties being shared with the faculty inpatient call group. - Participate in seeing patients during expanded access hours in the clinic, including their share of evenings and weekends, and call coverage.  Compensation for the position will include a University base academic salary and a clinical incentive system based on productivity, as well as, personal initiative.

It is anticipated that the position will be made up of the following components: 80% Clinical FTE; 20% academic FTE. This position reports to (supervisor): Arthur Hung, MD, Interim Chair, Department of Radiation Medicine.   The duties of this position include:  - Serving as an attending physician at OHSU, Portland VAMC, Beaverton Knight Cancer Institute - Teaching medical students, house staff, and fellows - Attending OHSU weekly Chart Rounds (by conference call) & neuro-oncology tumor board - Attending quarterly M & M conference - Actively engaging in clinical practice as an employee of OHSU at OHSU Hospitals and Clinics (collectively, “Hospital” and, except as otherwise provided in this paragraph 7 of the “Clinician Employment Agreement,” not otherwise) - Complying with the bylaws, resolutions, policies and standards of OHSU in effect and as may be amended from time to time, including without limitation: - any compliance program or policy, - the OHSU Patient Care policy, - the OHSU Code of Conduct policy, - the OHSU Conflict of Interest policies, - all policies and requirements regarding the preparation and maintenance of medical records and the billing for patient services, and - OHSU Policy No. 03-30-060 - Participating in and complying with the OHSU Faculty Practice Plan (“FPP”) - Maintaining a good standing license to practice medicine in the state of Oregon and any other jurisdiction where licensure is necessary in order for a Clinician to perform the professional services contemplated hereunder and to maintain medical staff privileges at the Hospital - Complying with: - all applicable laws and regulations relating to the practice of medicine and the billing of clinical services, - all standards and requirements of any applicable contract for patient care services, - all requirements of any lease of clinical space occupied or used by a Clinician; - the directives of the Department Chair; and - any additional terms and conditions of employment specifically contained in Exhibit A of the “Clinical Terms and Conditions” agreement - Participating in committees and performing administrative tasks as requested by, and to comply with the directives of, the FPP Board of Directors and the Department Chair.

The OHSU Department of Dermatology seeks a Director for its nationally recognized Contact Dermatitis Program in Portland Oregon.    Founded by the legendary Dr. Fran Storrs, the clinic serves as a vital statewide and regional referral source, seeing patients from all over Oregon, and neighboring states. The referral based-clinic focuses almost exclusively on patients with dermatitis and occupational skin disorders. The Director will lead and grow clinical services, maintain and evolve a training program for resident physicians, maintain a program of scholarly/research activities, and be consulting resource to OHSU and the Oregon dermatology community.   Additional research-related start-up support is available for applicants with an interest in these areas. The director will work closely with Dr. Eric Simpson, Director of the Center of Excellence in Inflammatory Diseases, to create an effective multidisciplinary team of allergists, pediatric dermatologists, immunologists, and other relevant specialists.    This position may also have opportunities for additional clinics in Medical Dermatology.   Depending on the qualifications of the person selected, the position may be filled as an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor. Salary shall be commensurate with rank. Clinical and academic bonuses are available based upon productivity.

The Staff Physician is the primary medical/clinical leader of the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team, and provides psychiatric and medical care to patients under his/her care. The Unit Physician is responsible for the admission and discharge of patients to the Unit, psychiatric and physical examinations, formulations of diagnosis and treatment plans, and performing clinical treatments directly as well as monitoring clinical treatments done by others. Specific duties include performing psychiatric, physical and neurological examinations, writing orders for patient care, conducting meetings of the ward Treatment Team to prepare individual patient Treatment Plans and giving clinical leadership to services that implement them. The Unit Physician will collaborate with the Unit Director to provide leadership to the Treatment Team in formulating and implementing plans for operation of the ward therapeutic environment, and will provide direct service to patients such as group and individual counseling. The Unit Physician will complete the medical record in accordance with requirements of Medical Staff Bylaws, rules and regulations, and hospital policies, prepare correspondence communicating findings from patient evaluations to hospital administration, judges, PSRB, and attorneys. The Unit Physician will serve on medical staff committees, participate in peer review, quality assurance, and utilization review activities, assist with training and continuing education of Hospital Staff, participate in continuing education, maintain qualifications to perform techniques of basic life support (CPR), and attend medical staff meetings. In addition to assigned unit responsibilities, physicians shall participate in mutually agreed upon reasonable activities in community and hospital settings of direct interest to OHSU and DHS. The primary work site will be the Salem Campus of the Oregon State Hospital.   OHSU is a teaching facility and you may be expected to teach medical students and residents in the clinical setting as well as through assigned lectures to be given during the course of the year. You will receive your teaching assignments from the Director of Education.   There are resources available for start-up research and on-going support. Faculty interested in doing research may apply for departmental research assistance and non-clinical time through the Director of Research.   Administrative and other duties may be assigned based upon department needs and your areas of expertise and interest. There will be opportunities to participate in departmental management and to serve on institutional committees.
