APP faculty members are often called upon to partner with other providers and members of the department or division research support staff in research activity. APP faculty members are expected to participate in clinical research as needed, often with the help of trained research support staff and senior faculty principal investigators. Education (include types of teaching and types of student taught): - This position provides clinical education to fellows, residents, and medical students participating in either OB/Gyn, Internal Medicine or Family Medicine rotations. As part of the multidisciplinary team charged with educating learners in the OB/Gyn or Primary Care environment, this person would be expected to provide feedback and evaluation, both formally and informally, of learners working in the CWH Primary Care Clinic. This person would also be expected to provide feedback and guidance in the continuing development and improvement of educational programs in OB/Gyn and possibly in primary care educational programs. Administrative Activities: - As an OHSU faculty member this person would be required to participate in faculty meetings at the division and department level. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, discovery, and patient care.   The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at OHSU seeks a full-time, qualified academic Gynecologist with subspecialty training in Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology (PAG). In alignment with the strategic vision of the hospital, the preferred areas of clinical care, research and education will be focused on: - Diagnosis and management of heavy and/or irregular menstrual bleeding due to anovulation or bleeding disorders; management of dysmenorrhea and chronic pelvic pain, including endometriosis, pelvic floor dysfunction, and complex pain. - Menstrual education and management, including menstrual suppression, for adolescent girls and young adults with developmental needs. - Management of adolescents with PCOS/hyperandrogenism and other endocrinopathies. - Care of patients with premature ovarian insufficiency including pubertal induction for patients with ovarian dysgenesis, Turner Syndrome and patients who have iatrogenic ovarian insufficiency due to cancer treatment. - Diagnosis and management of pubertal disorders including precocious and delayed puberty, vulvar disorders, including lichen sclerosus, chronic vaginitis, vulvodynia. - Management of benign adnexal cysts/masses including hemorrhagic cyst follow-up, paratubal cysts, teratomas, including surgical management as clinically indicated. - Medical and surgical management of Mullerian anomalies including hymenal, vaginal, and uterine anomalies. - Participate in team-approached management of gender-affirming care for adolescents. - Confidential and comprehensive management of Contraception/STI screening/dyspareunia integrated with other care offered. - Diagnosis and management of pediatric and adolescent vulvovaginal dermatologic and infectious disorders. - Education of medical students and residents, both clinically as well as through didactics and hands-on simulation. The successful candidate will have a clinical Gynecology practice focused on pediatric adolescent gynecology. Clinical responsibilities will include Gynecology outpatient clinics, surgical Gynecology and full participation in the Gynecology call pool. The successful candidate will be expected to participate in the department’s educational responsibilities as well as clinical and research activities.   The Assistant Professor is a faculty member credentialed and privileged as an MD, with completion of an Ob/Gyn Residency, independent surgical experience necessary to provide a full-scope practice, and with demonstrated evidence and subspecialty training in Pediatric Adolescent Gynecology (PAG). The Assistant Professor is a member of the OHSU Professional Staff practicing in accordance with the respective bylaws. The Assistant Professor shall provide inpatient and outpatient clinical services at OHSU and OHSU Health partner sites as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. This faculty member will provide education and feedback to fellowship trainees in the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship Program. This person would also be expected to provide feedback and guidance in the continuing development and improvement of the Maternal Fetal Medicine Fellowship program. - Other Activities: Opportunities for scholarly research activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection, and treatment of diseases or improving the educational foundation within perinatal medicine.  OHSU Faculty may engage in public service through consultative activities with OHSU and non-University groups as approved by the Chair and may also participate in additional departmental or hospital administration as approved by the Chair or supervising Division Head.

The Division Head will be responsible for overseeing the clinical, research, teaching and advocacy missions within the Division of Reproductive Psychiatry and Behavioral Health. In particular, the creation and development of programs to incorporate and strengthen the biopsychosocial model of women's health within all the programs of the Department as a key role. The Division Head will analyze the success of these programs and refine the offerings as needed as well as provide oversight of other reproductive psychiatry and behavioral health professionals in the Department to achieve the identified goals of the program. The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the Department Chair in furtherance of the University's missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service. As a member of the faculty, the Division Head will provide clinical care to OHSU patients and affiliated hospitals and clinics; establish and maintain a program of scholarly research activity directed toward improved understanding of the causes, detection, and treatment of mental health conditions and treatments; teach medical students, house staff and the regional medical community; engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups as approved by the Department Chair; and participate in the administration of the School of Medicine if appointed. Specific duties: - Provide effective leadership to the Division and its faculty in accordance with OHSU and Department policies and procedures. - As a member of the Department of Ob/Gyn leadership team, the Division Head will also provide input into the vision and direction of the Department. - Create, in concert with administrative and faculty leadership, long and short-range strategic planning for the Division and the Department. - As the Division's leader, this faculty member will manage and direct the Division's operating budget in a manner consistent with Department and University goals. - The Division Head is expected to participate as assigned in Department and institutional administrative committees. - Serve as a mentor and leader in research for the Division. - Responsibility for outpatient services, to include faculty staffing assignments and the continued development and success of a faculty-based Reproductive Psychiatry and Behavioral Health practice. - Responsibility for the further development of the preclinical, clinical, postgraduate (CME and Resident) and allied health educational programs.

This Advanced Practice Provider provides patient care in accordance with allied health privileges granted by OHSU and consistent with the credentials and the philosophy of the Department of Medicine, University Hospitals and Clinics.   This position will allow for additional provider coverage in our Community Oncology clinics.   Functions and duties of the position include: - Address urgent needs, evaluate patient situation, and determine the tolerance of the treatment; - Review labs and modify orders as needed; - See new patients in conjunction with attending physician; - Write chemotherapy orders when treatment plan has been initiated by attending physician in compliance with credentialed privileges; - Manage patient anticoagulation, as appropriate; - Work closely with phone triage staff to manage patient issues and problems, and see patients emergently as add-on/walk-ins, as appropriate, or requested by attending physician; - Admit patients to community hospitals, as appropriate, in collaboration with attending physician; - Round on patients in community hospitals, as requested by attending physician, in compliance with community hospital credentialed privileges; - Function in a manner which maintains the confidentiality and privacy of each patient, promotes a positive relationship with all health team members and supports the policies and procedures of the University Hospitals and Clinics.

CPS includes researchers interested in studying genetics, behaviors, and exposures that increase the risk of cancer and conduct intervention studies with individuals, communities, healthcare systems, and/or populations to improve cancer outcomes.  We are particularly eager to add expertise in two areas: molecular epidemiology and behavioral interventions; however, we are open to other foci that align with areas of strength in CPS and other programs in the KCI.  Current faculty areas of research include cancer and the microbiome, cancer symptom science, exercise oncology, tobacco cessation, nutritional epidemiology, and health equity research. Previous experience and/or leadership within an NCI designated cancer center is also desired.  

Clinical: The fellow will be responsible for attending specified joint clinic(s) with the supervising faculty. The fellow will also conduct independent general clinic(s). The fellow will also be responsible for attending a weekend inpatient consult service on a rotating basis.   Research: The fellow will function integrally in the research activities of the Department as determined by the Fellowship Director. The fellow will be responsible for on clinical research project culminating in presentation at a state or national meeting.   Teaching: the fellow will function integrally in the teaching activities of the Department as determined by the fellowship director.

Clinical Activities: Practice that emanates from the School of Nursing is expected to support the teaching and research missions of the School. In the practice environment, teaching occurs concurrently with clinical activities.   Specific duties include: Provide supplementary coverage of labor and delivery call when the permanent faculty are ill, in retreat, traveling professionally, on vacation or on leave. The primary expectation is the provision of clinical midwifery services to patients in the faculty practice during both day and night shifts.   Scholarly Activities: Development of a program of research is an expectation of this position.   Education Activities: Teaching graduate nursing students in the Nurse Midwifery programs. This includes teaching and leadership in program and curriculum development and advising and mentoring of students.   Service Activities: These activities include faculty meetings, committee membership, professional activities and other responsibilities as assigned by the Senior Associate Dean or Program Director.   Administrative Activities: None.    Other Activities: The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team within IDD/CDRC. The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) provides collaborative and multidisciplinary care in the OHSU/CDRC Spina Bifida Program, Feeding and Swallowing Disorders Clinic, and the Autism Clinic with a team of attending physicians, APPs, and allied health professionals. The APP will provide diagnosis, consultation, and treatment (to include care coordination and referral services) to individuals and their families with spina bifida, complex feeding difficulties, and autism. For patients with Spina Bifida, the APP will provide specialty care, especially related to bowel and bladder functioning, family coping, self-care, self-concept, growth and development and consultation to other community agencies and providers. The APP will work within an interdisciplinary model, coordinate clinic activities, and have primary responsibility for case management and care coordination. The APP shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.   The APP faculty will have opportunities to become involved in quality improvement work, education, research, and childhood advocacy. Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, the Department of Pediatrics, and the Division of IDD/CDRC are committed to developing our faculty members’ careers. A pathway for academic promotion for the APPs was recently implemented at OHSU.   Professional participation is expected including attendance in relevant educational conferences and didactic conferences. As teaching is an important portion of the OHSU and Doernbecher Children’s hospital mission, you will be responsible in collaborating and teaching students and trainees.
