The Executive Vice Dean/Sr. Associate Dean for Academic Affairs (EVD/SADAA) is the administrative officer who facilitates planning, administration, evaluation, and continuous improvement of the academic programs of the School of Nursing. The EVD/SADAA ensures that the academic standards and policies of OHSU, the School, and regulatory and accrediting agencies are met. The EVD/SADAA has joint responsibility with the Sr. Associate Dean for Student Affairs & Diversity for policies that support student academic progression and clinical site contract compliance. The EVD/SADAA reports directly to the Dean. S/he works closely with the Dean, the Sr. Associate Dean for Research, the Sr. Associate Dean for Student Affairs & Diversity, the Associate Dean for Finance & Administration, Campus Associate Deans, Assistant Deans, other administrators and faculty leaders to enhance and foster a team of teams culture, coordinated leadership, and alignment among the School’s academic, research, and practice/service mission areas.
The EVD/SADAA represents the Dean at designated School, University, professional, and community group meetings. During the temporary absence of the Dean, the EVD/SADAA may function as the administrator in charge of the School.
