Function/Duties of Position

The Division of Pediatriac Endocrinology provides clinical care to pediatric patients within Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, a 151 bed hospital-within-a-hospital associated with OHSU, and a member of NACHRI, as well as Doernbecher Children’s Hospital Outpatient Clinics.  The division of pediatric endocrinology is a highly motivated vibrant team of faculty focused on scholarship, research, and advocacy as well as providing the best teaching and clinical care in their chosen area. 

 

This position will be scheduled to provide patient care as a consultant to other inpatient services, though it is anticipated that the majority of clinical service will be provided in outpatient clinics or virutally.  The position will assume a portion of both night and weekend on-call service, typically 7-10 weeks annually. The division of pediatric endocrinology provides clinical services across alarge footprint of sites throughout the state of Oregon including the Harold Schnitzer Diabetes Center.  The division of pediatric endocrinology provides educational endeavors for medical students, residents, fellows and clinical care teams within the hospital while additionally providing specific intensified training and mentorship to the pediatric endocrinology fellows.   Division members are encouraged to participate in translational research and clinical trials as well as education and administrative opportunities throughout OHSU.

Required Qualifications

  • Applicants must have an MD/DO, eligible for licensing in Oregon.
  • DEA Certificate.
  • Board certified/board eligible in pediatric endocrinology.
