The OHSU Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) is seeking a full-time physician to join our team at Adventist Health Portland (AHP).
The Adventist Health Portland emergency department serves a largely urban population on the east side of Portland, caring for over 50,000 patient visits per year. The department serves many at-risk communities, including diverse nationalities and recent immigrants. AHP receives the highest number of cardiac arrest resuscitations in Multnomah County and has very active stroke and cardiac programs. The ED works closely with the hospitalist service, fostering strong collaboration and patient care coordination.
This is also a learning site with regular medical student rotations, providing ample teaching opportunities.
This position is under the supervision of the Medical Director, with OHSU’s Department of Emergency Medicine. Responsibilities will include working with the interdisciplinary team in the emergency department to achieve quality of care, patient safety, and service excellence goals. The duties of this position are in support of the missions, goals and objectives of OHSU and the School of Medicine.
Education: MD or equivalent; Emergency Medicine Residency Certificate
Experience: Knowledge, training and experience in clinical and academic Emergency Medicine
Job Related Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Registrations, Certifications and/or Licenses: Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification required; ABEM or ABOEM Board certified or board eligible
