Function/Duties of Position

For physical therapists who aspire to specialize in pediatrics we offer a full-time one-year residency at the Child Development and Rehabilitation Center at the OHSU Institute on Development & Disability. 

 

The Physical Therapy Residency functions within the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program. The LEND program promotes leadership, research skills, advocacy skills, and clinical expertise for interdisciplinary health care professionals, people with disabilities and parents of children with disabilities to improve healthcare for children with developmental disabilities. This residency program is credentialed by the American Physical Therapy Association.

Required Qualifications

  • The Pediatric PT Resident will hold a degree in PT.
  • The candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of physical therapy. 
  • Be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Oregon.  Licensure is necessary for participation in the residency program.
