Function/Duties of Position

Assistant or Associate Professor level faculty position in the area of GU medical oncology, with a focus on clinical research. This position is to join a robust clinical and translational program at OHSU that has made significant contributions to research in prostate and non-prostate genitourinary malignancies.

 

The duties of this position include:

Candidates will develop and lead therapeutic clinical trials to move the field of genitourinary cancer research forward. In this position, there is the opportunity to work with other members of the GU medical oncology team, other clinical specialties such as Urology and Radiation Oncology, and Knight Cancer Institute basic scientists with expertise in Genomics, Immunology, and Cancer Biology. The applicant will be expected to have clinical activities in both prostate and non-prostate GU cancers.

Required Qualifications

  • MD or equivalent or MD/PhD
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine
  • Board eligible/certified in Hematology and or/Medical Oncology

Preferred Qualifications

Training and experience in genitourinary oncology clinical research as a fellow or junior faculty member. History of collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, and history of success in obtaining extramural funding for genitourinary oncology clinical research would be significant assets.
