Department Overview

The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.

 

This position reports to (supervisor): Tom Wang, MD, FPRS Division Chief

Function/Duties of Position

The Facial Plastics APP is the public face for the Department of Otolaryngology Division of Facial Plastics Reconstructive Surgery. This individual serves as the liaison between the patient, physician, clinical and office staff. The position will partner with faculty physicians, fellows and residents in Otolaryngology to provide excellent clinical care and customer service for patients seeking cosmetic facial plastic services. The position interacts with other care providers to deliver appropriate, timely care and patient education. The APP will hold eight independent clinic sessions per week providing cosmetic services including microneedling, laser services and various cosmetic fillers. This position actively participates in the marketing of the practice. Attendance and participation in quarterly seminars, open house events, social media and retail sales is expected. This position will provide educational presentations to OHSU surgery medical students, otolaryngology residents and fellows during Grand Rounds, Aging Face conferences and seminars.

Required Qualifications

Position Conditions/Qualifications:

  • OR license, CPR/BLS
  • 3 years previous experience – preferably in plastics, dermatology or facial plastics cosmetic surgery.
  • Previous experience with sciton laser and cosmetic fillers preferred.
