The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service.
The Clinical Assistant Professor collaborates with a team of nurses, nurse practitioners, and nursing students to provide a direct access point to care and holistic nursing care services to the unhoused community. Using harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches, this person works alongside students to provide outreach, assessments, care coordination, and telehealth. Additionally, this person provides instruction to students on the complexities of homelessness and effective evidence-based approaches to help improve the health of the population.

Clinical Activities (not related to teaching or research): Plans and supervises student clinical experiences or practice based on teaching assignment. Works with the team to create and implement street nursing clinical curriculum for undergraduate nursing students.
Other Activities: The appointee provides services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
