The appointee shall provide services as assigned by the supervisor in furtherance of the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach and public service.
This position is responsible for the evaluation of patients (pediatric and adult) for general audiology, implants (BAHA and CI) and Hearing Aids. This position will counsel patients and their families regarding device options, use, care, maintenance, and realistic expectations. In addition, this position provides clinical audiology support. This may include, but not be limited to pure tone audiometry, speech audiometry, electrophysiological assessments, including ABR and OAE.
In addition, this position will provide education and training to medical students, residents and audiology fellows in a clinical setting through assigned lectures.
Participation in outreach programs directed to health professionals, patients, families, and the general public. In addition, will provide rehabilitation services.
