Assistant Professor in the Dotter Department of Interventional Radiology, section of Body Intervention. Responsibilities include the full range of body IR diagnostic and interventional procedures with special focus on peripheral arterial disease; teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows; clinical or basic research at OHSU or utilizing the Dotter Research facilities; outpatient clinical practice; care of IR inpatients; call coverage of the Body interventional service in rotation with the other Body faculty; and participation in Institute educational endeavors and quality programs. Care will be provided at OHSU and the PVAMC, and include patients from Doernbecher Children's Hospital.
All private care activities shall be conducted through the institute faculty private practice plan. This position requires undivided effort at the specific FTE. The general pattern of working hours will be set by the Director of the Dotter Institute, but deviations from general patterns may be necessary to meet position responsibilities. On average there will be 3 procedural days, 1 outpatient clinic day, and 1 academic day. Duration of this appointment and indicated salary may be changed or eliminate if a gift, grant, or contract fund supporting this position becomes unavailable. This is a fulltime appointment at 1.0 FTE. The faculty member will join and remain a member of the departmental practice plan and the faculty practice corporation for the duration of the faculty member’ OHSU appointment so long as the plan and the corporation are so approved and designated by the president. The faculty member will provide and utilize all patient care services at the University Hospital and clinics and Doernbecher Children’s Hospital unless specifically authorized otherwise in writing by the president or the president’s designee. As part of the university mission of education and training of health care professionals, peer review activities for health care providers in Oregon is approved where the dean, unity director or their designee has authorized the peer review in advance.
