The Assistant Professor will work collaboratively with a group of researchers dedicated to pancreas diesease, in the areas of early detection, advanced therapeutics, and patient resilience. They will work with Brenden-Colson Center leadership to design and contribute to high priority research projects related to pancreatic disease, and will be expected to set up an independent research lab, working on uncovering the molecular mechanisms that maintain PDAC growth with the goal of developing novel therapeutic strategies capable of improving the survival and quality of life of patients. We are especially interested in someone with an interest in metabolomics who will identify drivers of pre-malignant differentiation, pursue strategies to disrupt malignant identity, and develop models of human PDAC progression towards identifying new treatment targets.
