The Division of General Medicine & Geriatrics at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU) is actively building an integrated team practice model for delivering high quality medical care and service to the patients we serve, including transitional care of hospitalized patients. Our practice is recognized by the State of Oregon as a Tier 4 Patient Centered Primary Care Home and a Comprehensive Primary Care Plus clinic site.

 

This position will include interim care and a coverage clinic. This position is designed to increase after-hours and same day appointment access for patients as well as increase our overall patient access.

The Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellow will be responsible for the following:

• Precepting or urgent care in the Faculty Practice 4 half days/week, with at least one and likely two evening clinics.
• Participate in clinical based teaching.
• Potential to attend on the general medicine wards.
• On average 3 days per week of ultrasound educational activities and practice in varying clinical settings.
• Attend weekly image review & planning sessions with the program faculty.
• Create, participate in, or complete at least 1 IRB approved research project.
• Contribute to ultrasound teaching events for students and residents.

• MD/DO Required
• ABIM board-eligible or board-certified
• New Graduates will be considered

• The work occurs primarily in a typical clinic environment and hospital setting. Work hours are as required to complete assignment, core hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday with weekend time required while on inpatient service.
