The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology is seeking Advanced Practice Providers who will provide clinical management of patients in various outpatient settings within the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology.

Outpatient Genitourinary (GU) APP:
The GU APP manages patient care for genitourinary cancers which include the following: Prostate, renal cell carcinoma, bladder, testicular, and penile cancers. Treatments for these various cancer types have a broad range including hormonal therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, oral targeted therapies, and radio pharmaceuticals. The APP is also responsible for managing side effects from treatments and seeing patients on clinical trials. This APP will also attend research meetings to discuss trials and clinical trial patient related issues. Additionally, this APP may intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues.
Schedule: Four 10-hour days per week. Schedule to be determined upon hiring.
CHH2 Infusion Unit:
Summary: This APP will provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues. Additionally, they will see up to four same day/scheduled patients in our infusion clinic.
Schedule: 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, weekdays, weekend, and holidays included.
APP with focus in Classical Hematology:
The Classical Hematology APP will provide patient care for a variety of disease categories including: cytopenias (anemia, thrombocytopenia), polycythemia, thrombocytosis, leukocytosis, iron deficiency and overload, venous thromboembolic disease (VTE), bleeding disorders, and hemoglobinopathies (sickle cell, thalassemia). The APP will utilize (and manage side effects of) therapies including oral and intravenous iron, phlebotomy, anticoagulants, immune suppressants, cytoreductive agents (hydroxyurea), and oral and intravenous targeted therapies (monoclonal antibodies). The APP will assist patients in-person, virtually, or via e-consult. A focus of this Classical Hematology APP position will be managing a large volume of patients with iron deficiency, including triage of potential bleeding sources, selection and administration of appropriate iron therapy, and follow up. The APP will enjoy a distinct voice in the general management and culture of the Classical Hematology group.

APP with focus in Sarcoma:
The Sarcoma APP manages patient care for sarcomas which include a wide variety of rare cancers such as osteosarcoma, liposarcoma, synovial sarcoma, leiomyosarcoma, desmoid tumors and many more. Treatments for these tumors have a broad range including chemotherapy, immunotherapy and oral targeted therapies, and generally require multidisciplinary care with surgery and radiation. The APP is responsible for managing side effects from treatments and seeing patients on clinical trials. This APP will also attend research meetings to discuss trials and clinical trial patient related issues. Additionally, this APP may intermittently provide oversight of the infusion unit, responding to acute infusion reactions and urgent medical issues.
